He was bestowed with The Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays Decoration for his contribution to enhancing the welfare of the Japanese American community in the United States and promoting
friendly relations between Japan and the United States.

Celebrating 50 Years of Friendship: Japan and Guam Strengthen Ties
The Consulate-General of Japan commemorated 50 years of enduring friendship and cooperation with Guam during a special reception held Wednesday evening at Hotel Nikko Guam. Members of the Guam Nikkei Association also participated in the event, joining dignitaries and community leaders in honoring the shared history and strong ties between Japan and Guam.
