Celebrating 50 Years of Friendship: Japan and Guam Strengthen Ties
The Consulate-General of Japan commemorated 50 years of enduring friendship and cooperation with Guam during a special reception held Wednesday evening at Hotel Nikko Guam. Members of the Guam Nikkei Association also participated in the event, joining dignitaries and community leaders in honoring the shared history and strong ties between Japan and Guam. GUAM NIKKEIJIN EXHIBIT 2014
Members of the board of directors that include Frank S. N. Shimizu, Thomas V. C. Tanaka, Joseph Hara Salas, Julia Akiyama Cruz Caguioa, Monte Noda Mesa, Dr. David L. G. Shimizu, Peter R. Onedera, David Okada and Fred Nishihira will be on hand to recruit new members, encourage membership involvement and to field questions about the organization’s plans for the year.
